The Silent Privacy Risk of Redirect QR Codes

When you use a random online QR code generator, you are likely creating a dynamic redirect link. Behind that innocent-looking black and white pattern is a temporary link pointing to the generator's database. When a user scans it, they are tracked: their IP address, location, browser header, and scan timestamp are stored before redirection.

If the service goes bankrupt, changes its pricing plan, or shuts down, your QR code stops working immediately. The visually downloaded grid is completely hostage to the server's database.

QRKeep does not use database redirection. The text or URL you enter is directly compiled into binary data and encoded into the geometry of the QR grid itself. There are no tracking links, no network requests on scan, and no server dependencies. Once you download the PNG or SVG file, it is permanently operational for life.
