View full FAQ →
Is QRKeep really free forever?▼
Yes. Generation runs in your browser using client-side JavaScript, so server costs are negligible. We host the site on Cloudflare and support domain costs with small, non-intrusive display ads.
Do QR codes generated here ever expire?▼
No, never. The URL is encoded directly into the pattern itself. There is no redirect link or database account to expire. As long as your destination link stays active, the code works.
Is my data tracked, stored, or logged?▼
No. QRKeep has a strict zero-data-logging architecture. Everything is calculated locally on your device. When someone scans your code, their camera visits your URL directly without touching QRKeep.
Should I download SVG or PNG?▼
Download SVG for physical printing on business cards, menus, banners, and packaging. SVG is vector-based and prints razor-sharp at any size. Use PNG for social posts, slides, and websites.
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?▼
Static QR codes encode the destination URL directly into the image and work forever with no accounts. Dynamic QR codes route through a third-party server that can track scans, change destinations, or charge you a subscription to keep the link active.

QRKeep encodes your links directly into standard QR code patterns right in your browser. Because there are no intermediate redirect servers or expiring subscriptions, every code you create continues to work forever. Learn more on our About page or read how it works.
